| Both Issy and Ruth played at the U11 and U14 tournaments in Doncaster on the weekend of the 31st May/1st June. Issy scored a victory over Samadhi Udamulla from Hertfordshire 3-2, coming back from 1-5 down in the fifth to take the match. Issy enjoyed the experience and fought competitively in her other matches but could not overcome the more experienced players. Ruth, despite recording her best win to date, beating Talia Banin-Reid (ranked U14 No 15 - 609 compared to Ruth's 304) in 4, Ruth was knocked out in the group stages, missing out on the runners up spot in a very close count back. |
