The girls ready for the off at JBL round 2 at the amazing Derby arena a few w/e ends back, It was a tough season for them first year in but they managed to hang in there finishing 5th Abbie playing at number 1 managed 70% overall with Isabel playing at 3 on 30% and Nicola on 15% playing at number 2. Great thanks go to Angie Bristow by all the team for giving up her time organising and team captaining the team for both weekends.
Abbie Hurley's run of results keep on coming long may it last. Abbie has just finished RU in the U16 Kent Schools individuals, beating Lois Perriman current England ranked 15 on the way, losing out to Scarlet O'Neil in the final. Well done again, great confidence booster for Junior British league this coming weekend.
Abbie Hurley's first foray into the senior ranks as a last minute stand in for Fusion 2 in Division 3 of womens British League resulted in her personally achieving 25% success rate and the team winning the division well done Abbie & The Team
The Table Tennis Team from Byng Hall who attend the Weald of Kent Grammar School won the English Schools Zone Final Under 16 girls event 20th January 2019 at the Morpeth School, London. The girls consisting of Abbie, Isabel and Alison partnered with Saskia Keys played schools from East Sussex, Essex and Hertfordshire to claim the top spot. The girls all played great ending the day unbeaten. Abbie, Isabel & Saskia on 100%. A special mention here to Alison who finally broke her duck with 3 excellent wins giving her 50%. They now go forward to the Regional Finals in Bristol on the 10th February.
Abbie reaches the final of the Sycamore 2* U15's up in Nottingham last weekend, surccumbing to a girl she beat in her group. Getting closer well done Abbie
Additionally 13 year old Noah Csillag was runner up in the U16 year age group and Jack Smith was also RU in the U19's, a good day for Byng Hall lads at the Schools championships. The Girls compete in January. All winners will complete in the reginal finals next year.
