 Competition Report
With many of the top England ranked players on show at all age groups this tournament was of a very high standard and a great opportunity for everyone to showcase their skills.   Over 250 competitors playing in a 24 table venue
 Day 1 – Team Event
Alison Webb teamed up with Emily Cheung to represent the South East in the Girls U11 Team Event.  She played 4 rounds against teams from South West, East Midlands and North West.  Although no overall match wins for the South East she secured 3 games through great top spin play on her forehand.  She also teamed up with Emily to win 2 doubles wins.  Great partnership.
Isabel Webb teamed up with Abbie Hurley and Saskia Key and Lucy Adams to represent the South East in the Girls U13 Team Event.  Although no overall match results for the South East Isabel secured 2 wins and Abbie 1 win including Isabel’s superb 3-1 win against higher ranked Sophie Rinnhoffer from West Midlands who she had lost against in her last 2 encounters.  It should be noted that Isabel went down fighting throughout the day losing 3-2 on no fewer than 3 occasions including the no 2 seed Kirsty Maull from West Midlands and Holly Smithson seeded 6 from South West 11- 9 in the fifth.
 Day 2 – Singles
Both Abbie and Isabel played in the U13 girls singles.  Abbie had a good win against Issy Doyle from the North East winning comfortably 3.0.  Isabel played Erin Richards from South West lost in another tight match  3.2 again 11.9 in the fifth and then played National School Champion Anna Green loosing 3.0 but tight games.  In the U11 event Alison again took a game of Anika Bansal from Yorkshire 11.4.
This event provided good match practice for both Abbie Hurley and Isabel Webb as they are due to play at the U12 & U13 National Championship 16th and 17th June.
