This season the League has been divided into 2 divisions each with 9 teams. The Byng Hall Club will be entering four teams into the league having taken in the teams who played as St. Matthew's last season. Byng Hall A won the 1st division last season and are looking to defend their title.

Match Format

The league takes the format of 3 player teams, with 9 singles matches and 1 doubles. All matches will be played the best of 5 sets up to 11 points. Each team will play each other twice, home and away.

Unlike the Super League ,where
all matches will be played at the Byng Hall Club's new centre, all the teams will have separate venues, usually these are small and are only one or two table venues, a quirk of the local league system.

Each individual game counts towards the points for the team, e.g. if you win 8-2 then you will receive 8 points and the losing team 2. There is no automatic promotion or relegation, the divisions are decided at the beginning of each new season, by the League committee.
