Summer
Camp 2002
This year the club carries on its tradition of holding a summer training camp at the Ashford North School. The camp concentrates on its junior members giving them the opportunity to get quality practice in over a sustained period. Many of the clubs senior players come down to help and offer their experience to the younger players. |

Training
The
week long camp is split down into separate training sessions, one in the
morning and one early evening. The afternoons are then free time or a chance
for some extra practice, maybe some multi-ball for the really enthusiastic
player. "Granddad" John Standing is always a willing practice
partner!!! At the end of each session, a game of Top Table is played. This is based in 12 two minute games, with the winner moving up one table and the loser down. Each player's table position is recorded at each change and computer whiz Neil Highams calcualtes the individual averages. These are used for the starting positions in the next session. The overall averages are then used for the seedings for the tournament. |

Its
Not All Hard Work!!!
| As two sessions a day is enough for most people the afternoons are free time, thus many games of football and water fights ensue. But there are some planned activities such as Go-karting, a trip to Rotunda and Ten Pin Bowling!!!! Or of course sleeping is always a popular choice!! |
