Jasmin Ould of the Byng Hall table Tennis club set a new record at the London GP when she became the first person to twice win a player of the weekend award.
Jasmin defeated the Norwegian number 3 and number 5 girls in the group stages of the under 21 and Band 3 singles. She went on to be runner-up in the Band 3 singles and a losing semi-finalist in the Band 2 singles. In both events she lost to Klaudia Szadkowska from Poland, who was a former Polish Junior No 2.
Jasmin has now leapt up the England ranking list to number 11 in the Under-15s and number 28 in the juniors.
The London GP also gave some of the clubs youner players a chance for national competition. Andrew Lockwood and Adam Simpson both managed to gain a win in their first Senior event.
