Last weekend was the first weekend of Women's British League. The Byng once again had two teams in the competition, the first team (Angie Bristow, Heidi Smith and Joanne Hubbard) in Division 1 and the second team (Emma Etheridge, Sarah Hubbard and Chloe Dunmall) in Division 3.

Last season, the second team found it hard going, with it being the first time Chloe and Sarah had played in the competition. This season it was a totally different story!! The team played very well, picking up many good wins and a very well earned draw against the experienced Sutton-at-Hone team. The teams efforts and good team spirit were rewarded when they received the "Team of the Weekend" award, which is voted for by the umpires and oganisers. This is the first time that the Byng Hall Club has won this award, so it was a great achievement. Well done all!!!
