Byng Boys Double Success

I played in the Chesham 2star under 18's graded tournament yesterday. With grade 3 being players under 750 points Grade 2 with under 900 points and Grade 1 with under 1900 points. Unfortunately the Grade 1 had to be cancelled because of lack of entries. But the Grade 3 and 2 went ahead with an entry of 18 players, in each group there was 3 players. I won my first group then the winners of the groups they would play in 2 separate groups and the winners would play in the final for the medals. I won my second group playing Damien Piper from Yorkshire in the final I beat him 3-1, 1st 11-6, 2nd 11-4, 3rd 9-11, 4th 11-3.

In the afternoon in Grade 2 I again won my first group. And I won my second beating Dean street and Damien Piper to play Alex Garlic in the final, He beat me 2-3, 1st 5-11, 2nd 11-6, 3rd 11-7, 4th 9-11, 5th 5-11. Although I lost in the final I still played well and happy to become runner-up.
