The Byng Hall Table Tennis Club

Byng Hall TTC based at St Johns CofE Primary School was founded in 1990 at the old home of Byng Hall in Tunbridge Wells Kent.

Byng Hall TTC is the only Advanced Level Premier Club in the county and is the South East winner of the 2007/08 Club of the Year Award presented by the English Table Tennis Association.

The club caters for all aspects of the game, in particular, good club spirit and a sense of belonging.

The club makes use of 10 tables and over 40 individuals (aged 3 to 60) from the UK, Sweden, France, Lithuania and Hungary benefit from our five sessions every week.

The club is run by the ETTA approved and UKCC accredited coaches Gary Howes ,the original founder, (ETTA Level 4 Coach - old style + UKCC Level 2 - new style) and Jurate Brazaityte (UKCC Level 2 - new style).

The club also has the ETTA Level 2 coach Rob Freeman and Mark Romano (UKCC Level 1 coach - new style). All the coaches at the club are active coaches and CRB checked.

The club also thanks and appreciates its volunteers and helpers namely Paul Roberts, Sandra Simpson, Nick Smith and John Butler MBE for their time and effort.

The club boasts some of the county's top players in the Under 11 and Under 13 boys as well as Under 15 and Under 18 girls categories.

The club currently supports 3 British League teams, 2 Womens and 1 Junior. We also run one of the South East Regional National Junior and National Cadet League divisions in which we have 1 team in each competition.
